Forward or attach? A better way to share multiple emails

When you need to share several emails with a colleague, it's tempting to forward them one by one. There's a cleaner, more organized option. You can send emails as attachments in a single message.

Forwarding multiple emails creates clutter, making it harder for the recipient to find information and overwhelms their inbox.

Attaching emails instead keeps everything in one place. A single message with a brief explanation and the emails as attachments preserves the original formatting, dates and sender information.

How to attach multiple emails in Gmail

  1. In your inbox, select the emails you want to share (use the checkboxes)
  2. Right-click and select Forward as attachment
  3. Add your note, choose your recipient and send.
You can also drag individual emails from your inbox directly into a new message to attach them.
