Launch a Zoom poll with a QR code
When you launch a poll in Zoom, you can also share a QR code for participants who cannot access the poll in the meeting. This can happen when participants join through their browser and do not have the Zoom app installed. Showing a QR code can also be especially useful in hybrid meetings when you have people both online and in person. The QR code will allow participants to use their mobile device to scan the code and answer the poll.
How to show a QR code with polls
- In your Zoom meeting, click the Polls/quizzes button
- Find the poll you want to show and click launch
- Click Get QR code at the bottom of the poll. The QR code will appear in a new browser window.
- Share your screen in Zoom so people can use their phone camera to scan the QR code. The poll will still show for online participants.
What participants see when they scan the QR code
Participants who scan the QR code with their phone will have have to enter their email address unless the poll is set for anonymous answers. Then they can answer the polling questions.
