Scheduling emails in Gmail

There are a number of reasons why you might want to schedule an email to send at a later time or different day. Maybe you are writing an email outside of work hours, emailing someone in a different time zone or you want your email to send at a specific time. In this Monday Minute, we explain how to schedule emails in Gmail and also how to edit or cancel a scheduled email if you need to.

How to schedule an email in Gmail

1. Compose your email
2. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Send button and click Schedule send

3. Choose a date and time and click Schedule send to confirm

How to change or cancel scheduled emails

1. Once you've scheduled an email, you can view it by selecting Scheduled in the left navigation menu
2. Click to open the email you want to change or edit
3. Click Cancel Send
4. If you want to choose a new send time, click the Schedule Send button from the drop-down arrow
