Today we are tidying up all the various tools we may only use occasionally, but still need attention. These tools are the ones we see forgotten most often when individuals leave, leaving their materials frozen and hard for their colleagues to use. The good news is you can clean this up anytime, even if you have no plans to leave! So turn on IT Goldy's Winter Carnival Playlist and spend a few songs tidying up cleanup zones you may have forgotten!
- Kaltura Mediaspace (video host) - Delete anything that isn't needed anymore, and change media ownership on anything that should be owned by someone else.
- Z-links - nobody loves a Z link like Extension!! Be sure to create a Collection to share your Z links with your colleagues.
- Google sites - transfer ownership of important sites to a shared account (leave yourself as an editor!) and/or add other team members as editors
- YouTube - if you own a YouTube "Brand" channel, look over the ownership settings--you want at least two owners!

I cleaned up old Z-Links that I had forgotten I had created. I attempted a little clean up in Kaltura. I had already transferred ownership on most videos but I did find a couple that needed to be transferred. I did quite a bit of Qualtrics survey clean up. I closed survey's that we're no longer needed and organized them into folders incase I need to pull reports later. Transferring ownership in Qualtrics is a bit more challenging because you have to email survey@umn.edu to do so.
