Focus on Files: Organize your data


Do you ever struggle to find specific files or emails? Are your digital files a mess? Digital clutter can be overwhelming and can reduce productivity. Even the most organized person can struggle at times with keeping track of it all. In a previous QuickBytes article, Declutter your digital life, we challenged you to see how many emails and documents you could delete and organize in just one hour each week. The UMN has a new initiative called Focus on Files in Google Workspace to promote good practices for keeping your files organized and reducing digital clutter. The Focus on Files website includes tips for organizing your data and an option to sign up for monthly email tips on how to better manage your Google Workspace files.

October’s Focus on Files is all about organizing your data to reduce frustration and save on search time. On October 30 at 10 am, there will be a 30-minute webinar on file naming and folder structure, along with tips on how to get started with better file organization.
