Growing use of ThingLink in Extension

We have been using ThingLink for a number of years now, exploring how it can help make our course and web-based content more engaging and interactive for audiences, while still thinking carefully about maintaining accessibility. ThingLink has made great strides in increasing the accessibility of its tool and the popularity has grown among our educators in recent years. As a result, our team now has a license for the tool and is ready to support increased use across the organization.

I'll share some of the work we've done with it already below and welcome you to reach out to with your ideas for utilizing ThingLink in your Extension work.

In our courses

Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS)

ThingLink helps the AIS team train members of the public on complex species identification.

On-farm Food Safety

ThingLink helps the food safety team illustrate concepts like the set-up of hand washing stations.

Nutrient Management

ThingLink enabled the Nutrient Management team to share a field-tour-like experience virtually during the pandemic. Click on the star icons below to "tour" the field. In the 360-images, click on the YouTube icons to learn more about the tour and research trial.
