Have you ever had a sense of panic after closing a tab or even the entire window with all of your open tabs? There are a few ways to reopen Chrome tabs you just closed or open tabs you closed days ago.
Reopen a tab immediately after closing it
Option 1: Right-click a blank space to the right of your tabs at the top of the window and select Reopen closed tabOption 2: Press CTRL+Shift+T
Reopen recently closed Chrome tabs
- Click the three vertical dots at the top of your Chrome window or press Alt+F
- Click History
- Under Recently Closed, you should see a list of your most recently used tabs
- Click on the tab you want to open
Reopen tabs from browser history
You can go back to find your tabs in the browser history.- Click the three vertical dots at the top of your Chrome window or press Alt+F
- Click History and then click History or press Ctrl+H
Continue where you left off
If you hesitate to close your browser because you aren’t quite done with the tabs you have open, you can change a setting in Chrome to always continue where you left off.- Click the three vertical dots at the top of your Chrome window or press Alt+F
- Click Settings and then click On Startup
- Select Continue where you left off
NOTE: Only the tabs from the last chrome window you closed will reopen the next time you launch Chrome. If you are using multiple Chrome windows and close all of your windows, Chrome will only open the tabs from the last window you closed.
This is super helpful and practical. Thank you!
