When you are traveling to/from a work event, you should always add travel time as separate entries from the actual event in your calendar. Did you know that you can add your travel time using Google Maps right in your calendar? What’s great about this feature is that Google will calculate the exact time to leave to reach your destination on time, and you’ll know the number of miles driven for your travel expenses. Plus, you can do it all in one step as you create your event.
2. Enter the title and click location
3. Enter an address or search by the venue name. Select the location from the Google suggestions.
4. Click the Google Maps icon to the right of the location box. The Quick Access Side Panel will open with the Google Maps app.
5. If the event window is covering up your Google Maps app, you can click save on your event.
6. Click Directions in the Google Maps app

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! When I tried it just now, it made the travel time show up as private (even though my workshop is set to default visibility). Do you know any way to work around that?
ReplyDeleteIt does appear to default as "private". You can change this by editing the event and changing it to public or default visibility.
DeleteThis is great! Thank you
