Last summer, Karen shared her tips on how to make the most of hybrid meetings. But top of her list was to make sure you actually need to do it that way. Synchronous meetings where some people are in a conference room and some people are online at the same time are difficult to host well. The same is true when you’re teaching.
There are few things more difficult than giving learners with you in person and those watching online a great experience at the same time.
Hybrid. hybrid. HYBRID.
Hybrid programing can mean:
- Offering similar content in person and online at different times for different people.
- Offering different content in various formats (webinars, in-person, online courses, podcasts, etc.) to the same audience from which they can pick and choose.
- Offering an online component and an in-person component on different days for the same people/course.
- Many other things!
How are you thinking about hybridizing your program for the needs of your audiences and content in the coming year(s)? We’d love to hear your ideas in the comments below!
