Five steps to clean up charts

This week I want to share Sam Grant’s five steps to clean up your charts. Sam is an Extension Educator & Evaluation Director in the Center for Youth Development and has created a number of short videos about evaluation. In this 4 minute video, she walks you through how to transform a default chart in Excel or PowerPoint and make it much more readable.

The 5 steps:

  1. Better title
  2. Use color to highlight
  3. Remove unnecessary clutter
  4. Format data labels
  5. Increase text size
